Seisyll ap Morgan ap Ieuan is the incumbent Arlywydd of the Land of Caergwynn. Born as Seisyll Gruffydd in 1958 (upon accession, the Arlywydd's name is officially given as a set of patronymics, to reflect the naming system that was current in Caergwynn before the adoption of surnames in the 16th century) to a humble family in the small mountain town of Llandewi, he studied political science at the Prifysgol Morlais on a scholarship from the Department of Foreign Affairs, serving in it after his graduation cum laude in 1979. After decades spent working his way up the ranks (highlights of his service include doing the drafting work for Caergwynn's statement of membership in the Kilikas-Boreal Cooperative Zone), he became Chancellor of the Department in 2016, and won popularity for championing the rights of the para-Caeric Gvergole community in neighboring Vithinja. Seisyll was selected by the Arcyngor to fill the office of Arlywydd in March 2023 after his predecessor died of a sudden stroke, and was approved by the Iscyngor with a large majority. Though widely perceived as a "safe pair of hands", Seisyll has been unexpectedly energetic in his tenure so far, focusing on improving ties with Fiannria, expanding the power of the elected Iscyngor, and reforming various government departments. Seisyll, though married since 1981, is childless. His recreational activities are reported to include fishing, painting watercolors, and singing in the church choir of his local Associated Church, which he faithfully attends each Sunday.
