Olympia County, officially the County of Olympia (Cartadanian: Comarca de Olympia), is a county in the southern regions of Commonwealth of Verona. It is situated in the Olympia Valley, for which it was named, and is the largest county with the region by population. In 2024, the county's population was estimated to sit at 1,466,975, making it the sixteenth-most populous county in Verona. Its seat and most populous city is Oasis Springs, which is the seventh-most populous city in Verona with nearly 900,000 inhabitants.
Olympia County is most widely known for its political stance relative to the rest of the commonwealth. It is the most populous majority conservative county in Cartadania, and the only county in Verona above one million inhabitants to have not backed a socialdemocracia candidate for president in the last decade.

Olympia County is a charter county of Verona; its seat is the city of Oasis Springs.
The county is divided into nine supervisorial districts–Central Valley, Clemente, East Valley, Eastern Steppe, Furtado, Lobo, Moreno Basin, Oasis, and West Valley. The supervisorial districts each elect one supervisor to the Board of Supervisors which governs Olympia County. There is also a county manager elected by the county at-large, bringing total board membership to nine. An assistant manager is selected by the board from among its membership. The county operates under the county form of the county executive system of government, with an elected Board of Supervisors. The board confirms a professional, nonpartisan county executive to manage operations of government agencies, such as Assessor, Auditor-Controller, Clerk-Recorder, Commonwealth Attorney-Public Administrator, Sheriff-Coroner, and Treasurer-Tax Collector. Except for the Board of Supervisors, each of these elected officers is elected by the voters of the entire county and oversees their own County departments.
Olympia County is quite well known amongst Verona, and Cartadania as a whole during elections, for its political stance relative to the rest of Verona. It is particularly conservative despite being a population center, the most populous majority conservative county in Cartadania, and the only county in Verona above one million inhabitants to have not backed a socialdemocracia candidate for president in the last few elections. Despite this, Olympia County leans more on the side of fiscal conservatism than social, and mostly has social views similar to the other counties around it, regardless of political affiliation.

Education
Olympia Valley Independent School District is the public school district serving all of Olympia County except the portion that lies within the city of Moreno, which is served by Moreno ISD. 147 of OVISD's 151 schools are fully accredited at rank Exemplary, while the remaining 4 are unrated. Olympia County spends about one-quarter of its local revenues on education via direct transfer to the school district. That being said, however, most of OVISD's funding is from a mix of county and state funding, bonds, and property taxes. For the FY2025, 31 percent of funding was from local revenues, 18 percent from state funding, and 51 percent from property taxes. Per pupil expenditures are, on average, about €17,290, which makes it stand out amongst neighboring counties, with expenditures more typical of northern Verona school districts. In more recent years, many Moreno ISD families are pushing the Olympia Valley ISD Board of Education to annex Moreno ISD in favor of the more diverse and holistic approach to education of the rest of the county.
The University of Verona, Oasis Springs serves the Olympia Valley area of Verona and is located in the county's heart, in the city of Oasis Springs. It enrolls approximately 30,000 students and offers 105 areas of study in undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs. The county is also home to Olympia Valley State University, part of the Verona Commonwealth University system, which offers an alternative to UVA Oasis Springs. Post-secondary students are also not far from the other VCU campuses in the area, including Coronado State University in Coronado, Louisa Commonwealth University in Louisa, and Pasadena State University in Pasadena.
