The Most Distinguished Imperial Order of the Holy Cross is a Levantine Imperial Catholic order of chivalry, rewarding contributions advancement of the cause of the Levantine Union and the Catholic Church. The Order was established by Emperor Conchobar III in 1555 as a reward for those giving service to faith and Empire during the Great Confessional War. Like some other institutions of the Holy Levantine Empire, the Order continued to exist as part of the Empire-in-fact, and it exists today in the stewardship of the Apostolic King of Urcea, who also holds the title of Emperor of the Levantines. Since the end of the Second Great War, membership in the Order has been granted for those who perform an act of service for the Levantine Union, recognizing it as a spirutual successor of the Empire.
