The Military Assembly of Caphiria is one of the four chambers of the Corcillum, the tetracameral parliament of the Imperium of Caphiria. The Military Assembly is a meritorious chamber, representing those who serve the Imperium in uniformed service, in contrast to representative assemblies such as the National Assembly or Senate which are a direct representation of the will of the people
The composition and powers of the National Assembly are established by Proclamation V of the Constitution of Caphiria; the Military Assembly consists of every flag officer of the Imperial Armed Forces from each of the three branches and is responsible for formal declarations of war as well as peace treaties. It is also responsible for confirming the appointment of the Prime Minister of Defense made by the Imperator. As flag officers, every member of the military assembly is appointed by the Imperator as he is responsible for the promotion and commissioning of officers in his role as military commander-in-chief. The Prime Minister of Defense is the nominal leader of the Military Assembly as the most senior-ranking official, presiding over assembly sessions as designee of the Imperator.
