The The Territorial Executive is a Collegiate executive of the Kiravian federal government responsible for various aspects of domestic policy, including (but not limited to) environmental policy, law enforcement, intergovernmental affairs, geodesy, and Urom affairs.
History
The Territorial Executive descends directly from the Tholos Administration, named for the building in Kartika where it was formerly headquartered, which is now home to the Federal Council. After members of the Executive College became more closely identified with policy portfolios, the Territorial Executive was one of the original X executive bureaucracies of the Confederal Republics of Kirav, alongside the Executive for State Affairs (responsible for foreign policy, the Executive for the Sea (responsible for the Navy, foreign trade, navigation, and the colonies), and the Executive for Works & Defences (responsible for public finance, currency, fortifications, roads, and the Army). Under this scheme, all remaining domestic policy within the federal remit, including the postal service, interstate commerce, weights and measures, federal lands, surveying, and management of urom tribes, fell under the Territorial Executive.
