Acara, officially the State of Acara (Cartadanian: Estado da Acara; Charentais: État d'Acara), is a state in eastern Cartadania, located in the lower Charente region on the island of Urlazio. It is the 21st-largest state by area and the 21st-most populous of the thirty-eight administrative divisions. As of January 2033, the population of Acara was estimated to be 5.1 million. Acara is bordered to the north by Aleira and Maresia, to the east by Triessa, and to the south and west by the Urlazio Sea. Its capital is the city of Londrina, located in the state's center, while its largest city is Araitriz, with a population of approximately 413,000 at the tip of the South Bay. Its eponymously named metropolitan area has a population of just under one million inhabitants, making it the second-smallest metropolitan area with Cartadania's Urlazio region.

On 28 April 1689, Acara ratified Cartadania's constitution, becoming the eighth state to be admitted into the union and the second state to form from the Charente territory after Maresia. By 1720, it had become the largest producer of Coffee in Cartadania, accounting for 26% of the nation's yield facilitated by the extensive cultivation of coffee fields that blanketed much of Acara's interior. It is still one of the largest coffee-producing states in the country today, largely due to Acara's rural inland. The predominance of rural landscapes characterizes Acara's economic and demographic character, with agriculture holding a major position in the state's economic matrix. Across its 61 counties, the prevailing character is predominantly rural or suburban, with the exception of locales within the South Bay and Londrina metropolitan area, where elements of urban character begin to manifest.

Acara lies entirely within the Urlazio coastal plain, and generally consists of lowland plains and low hills. The far northwestern portion of the state, at its tri-point with Aleira and Triessa, is the only mountainous portion of the state and contains its highest peak, Monte Silva, rising to 1,776 meters (5,827 ft). The state lies mostly north of the equator, with a very small portion of the Sohal Peninsula extending across it. Acara has a mostly equatorial climate, with Monte Silva having a strong rainforest climate characterized by cloud forest zones.
