The Arcerion Cup, also known infrequently as the Lion's Race, is a championship trophy awarded for the sport of sailing. It is the oldest continually operating competitive sailing trophy awarded in Ixnay. Races are held between two yachts, one from the current champion )known as the incumbent or the defender) and the other from a challenging team (known as the challenger). Competitions are held every several years (usually every other year) on dates that are pre-set through discussions between the International Sailing Committee, with representatives from defending and challenging teams. As there is no pre-determined schedule, the shortest length between matches has been fourteen months, and the longest been six years. The most recent Arcerion Cup was held in Chester-on-Moore, taking place on the Songun Sea, hosted by the defending champions the Royal Foxhey Yacht Squadron, in June 2029.
