The National Currency of Unintra is the Unis Ukan Credits, Unis Ukan comes from the name of Unias Ukan, the Leader that Introduced, standardised and Unified the Currency as the official monetary unit Used by Unintra, marking the end of the regional differences of Currency and streamlining commerce accross Unintra. The most recent incarnation of the Currency is in it's digital form, as part of an effort to cut down on Paper usage to reduce the need to cut down trees. Now most of the transactions in Unintra are made either by Card, or electronically, while Paper is used more as a formality and collected for memories. Etymology

Unintra comes from the Old Luckviram word Wyunivtra meaning "The Group". It is meant to symbolise the Group of Representatives that travelled to Karairan and Signed the first Constitution of Unintra in Unison in 320.

Government and Politics

Unintra is a Multi-party, Semi-direct, Federal Democracy with proportional representation(RCV) within a bicameral legislature and an Executive Council. The Federal Parliament (and their committees) and government is located in the Firlis Complex and Molarkan Square respectively in Karairan, while the Grand Court is located in Luckvarum.

Executive

Unintra's Executive Branch is Headed by the Executive Council, a Group of Ministers Elected after the Parliamentary Elections by Popular vote every 6 years. They specialise in different Domains and Departments. Their Main Job is to Represent the Nation in Foreign Affairs and Administer Policies and Laws throughout the Country. The Council Elects a Minister-President, which serves as the ceremonial Leader of Unintra and the Council, although they don't acquire any special powers from this position.

Legislative

The Legislative Branch of Unintra is Headed by the Unintran Khongchel, of Federal Parliament. It is a Bicameral institution with the People's Assembly and the State Senate. The state senate has 5 senators per Canton, totaling in 100 seats. While the people's assembly has 900 seats. Senators are elected every 6 years and Asembly Representatives every 4 years. Any house can propose a bill, and bills can also be proposed by an initiative(action or law proposed by a group or person containing enough signatures [100'000 signatures in 18 months for Bills]) Only Parliament( both houses together) can vote and veto a bill or law, going through both houses. Amendments of the constitution need to go through a general referendum as well. The current Ruling coalition is Between the Social-Democratic Union, The Greens, and the Left Alliance

Federal subdivisions

Unintra is Divided into 20 Cantons[List added Later], each having local Autonomy from the Federal Government [Link Needed for Exact Laws] which control Cantonal Infrastructure and Collect taxes among others. they are further divided into Boroughs which mostly serve to Divide local Police and Fire services.

Politics

Since Unintra is a Multi-party Democracy, several Large political factions exist in Unintra. Within Parliament, the Largest Political Parties are The Social-Democratic Union and the Liberal Democrats. They are the Main Factions within the Khongchel and Unintran Politics as a whole. While the Socialists, Techno-Democrats, and Independants are a strong force in Local Elections. The Conservatives have support mostly in the Rural Areas, however they compete with the Techno-Democrats as they have historically held a monopoly of Support in those areas.

Law

The main source of law for Unintra is the Constitution. The Constitution which guarantees Civil and Political Rights, Functions of Government and Citizenship among others[Link for The Bill of Rights and Role of Government to be Added]. They are Added with the Basic Law and Civil Charter of Unintra, which The Wyunintravi are Required to Learn at School. The Highest Level of the Judicial Branch is the Grand Court in Luckvarum, they arbitrate on Constitutional Decisions and either confirm of Reject them. The Court is made up of 10 Judges which are Appointed by the Assembly every 10 years
