The 1st Armored Division is a division of the Urcean Royal and Imperial Army.
The 1st Armored is considered one of the most important military units in the history of modern military doctrine. The concept of a full armored division was a revolutionary concept in the Urcean armed forces pushed by Benno de Caryale in his time as a high-ranking advisor in the Royal and Imperial Army. The elevation of the 1st Armored Brigade to the 1st Armored Division in 1929 established it as the first true armored division in service anywhere in the world. The Division is closely tied to de Caryale's legacy, with their insignia bearing a modified version of his personal arms and the unit retaining the nickname "Benno's Brawlers".
