The Al-Fassara Dynasty (Zaclaric Audonian: فزاری), also known as the House of Fassara, is the current ruling royal family of Zaclaria. It was founded in the late 16th century by Alatah Al-Fassara who led the Āshahvār Revolt, leading the successful revolution for Zaclaria's independence. Today, the Al-Fassara Dynasty is composed of the descendants of Tehminevra Al-Fassara, the founder of the modern state of Zaclaria.
The most influential position of the royal family is the Sultan of Zaclaria, the head of state. Currently, Arabella IX is the Sultana and legal head of the family, although since her marriage to Constantinus I in 2022, she has effectively given control of the family's affairs to Ismar Al-Fassara, one of her great-uncles. The family in total is estimated to comprise some 5,000 members; however, the majority of power, influence, and wealth is possessed by a group of about 850 of them. Some estimates of the royal family's wealth measure their net worth at over $700 billion, though this figure is often the subject of controversy.
