The Alpachnees were primarily settled by the Sugondese people, and in 1800, the Alpachnee Confederation was formed after the Kiravian conquest of Atrassica and the subsequent conquest of the Mid-Atrassic states. The confederation would last until 2021, when the Alpachnee War caused its collapse and reformation into the Alpachnee Empire. Political instability and rebel groups opposing Daxo-Kiravian occupations would subsequently cause the Alpachnee Empire's collapse, leaving the region as a toss-up between different rebel factions. The main city in the Alpachnees is Opa-Loka.

Geography

The Alpachnees feature a long Odoneru coastline to the east, where the main city of Opa-Loka is located. The Alpachnee tribes are mostly fishing-focused, with the region having suitable geography for agriculture, though it is far too cold for a massive industry. Some small mining operations take place in the center and southwest portions of the region, where it is slightly more elevated, but due to the region's instability, the operations are not permanant. There are also four small rivers that flow through the southern portions, with half originating from the Odoneru Ocean in the east and the remaining two flowing from Copake.

Because the Alpachnees are so far north in Crona, in the region nicknamed Boreal Crona, it features a temperate continental climate in the eastern portions, a boreal climate in the northern quarter, and a temperate oceanic climate in the northwestern reaches of the region. The Alpachnees are very cold year-round, with June and July being the only warm months in the region. The region mostly receives its precipitation in the form of snowfall, which coats the entire region throughout the winter.
