Castelle County is a county in the Commonwealth of Verona. It is the state's southernmost county, bordering the state of Catária to the southwest, south, and southeast. The county's concentration of wealth, primarily due to the petroleum and medical industries, has made it the most affluent county in southern Verona and the most affluent outside Verona's Palm Coast area and one of the most affluent places in the Luson region.

In 2036, the county's population was estimated to sit at 1,976,666, making it the twelfth-largest county in Verona by population. It is the 16th highest income county in Verona and the 20th highest-income county in Cartadania by median family income.

It serves as the major anchor of southern Verona and many of Catária's residents commute into the county for work.

Education

Castelle Independent School District is the public school district serving all of Castelle County. All of district's 147 schools are fully accredited at rank Exemplary. Although school districts in Verona are separate from municipal government, Castelle County, like many of Verona's larger counties, spends about a third of its local revenues on education. That being said, however, most of CISDs funding is from a mix of county and state funding, bonds, and property taxes. For the FY2020, 36 percent of funding was from local revenues, 15 percent from state funding, and 49 percent from property taxes. Per pupil expenditures are, on average, about $21,613, which places it on par with neighboring counties, typical of northern Verona.

The University of Verona, Southern serves all of the southern tip of Verona and is located in the county's heart, in the city of Rathan. It enrolls approximately 26,000 students and offers 113 areas of study in undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs.
