Inyang is the fourth-largest city in Metzetta, with a population of 2.7 million and an area of 380 square miles. It is one of Metzetta's Metropolitan Cities, meaning it is self-governing rather than being part of a province. Inyang is part of the Hanzeong metropolis, having been merged into by the sprawling capital, however it is still administered separately and has a distinct identity, even if the boundaries between the two cities have become increasingly blurred over time.
Etymology
"In" means "perfect virtue" in Metzi, while Yang refers to Metzetta's first Emperor. Yang-jo is considered a borderline religious figure in Metzetta and so naming a major city with reference to his perfection is not out of character for the Metzettans.

Geography
The capital city of Hanzeong has expanded well beyond its original boundaries to form a metropolis including Inyang and much of the surrounding Wassi province.

Inyang is divided into 8 districts, known as gu in Metzetta. Each district is divided into neigbourhoods called dong. The districts of Inyang are;

As well as its connections to the country-wide rail network, Inyang is also served by the Inyang Metropolitan Railway, which connects at several points to the Hanzeong Metropolitan Railway.
Inyang International Airport is a major airport which also serves the capital city, the much smaller Inyang Airstrip is also found here but mostly used for flight training, amateur pilots on pleasure trips, occasional cargo and special military operations.
Due to its proximity to the nation's capital city, Inyang enjoys tight connections to the country's highway system.
Sea cargo rarely arrives in Inyang but the Inyang Imperial Marina houses the Imperial Yacht and several other high profile sailing clubs are centred here.
Education
Inyang places great emphasis on language education in schools, particularly of English, with the aim of becoming an Alshari hub for international business.
Universities in Inyang include Inyang National University, Zogeum University (formerly Zogeum Institute of Technology), Dosim Medical University, Inyang Women's University, Inyang City University, Zohan University, Salma University for Women, University of Dulyeoum, Arts College of Inyang and Dosim Polytechnic College.
