Kindredization is the conceptual transformation of societies in western Sarpedon from ones based on the mores and traditions of Caphiric society to unique, "Kindred" traditions independent of Caphiric influence. The term is sometimes used to describe the historical process of the foundation of the Cartadanian and Pelaxian cultures, but in modern contexts the term refers to various programs of social, economic, and political reforms to make these nations stand apart from Caphiric influence. The term is most often used with respect to Cartadania and Pelaxia, with various efforts also taking place in both Aciria and Volonia. Kindredization is most commonly used to refer to efforts to implement egalitarian social democratic societies within this region, with many Kindredizer proponents arguing that it is the ingrained traditional form of governance and social organization for people in western Sarpedon. This position is largely taken in opposition to the Caphiric form of government and society, which are hierarchical by nature.
