Mavya is a geographical region and island located off the southwestern coast of Peratra. Mavya is located 460 miles southwest of Tebelvonia, and 600 miles northwest of Cardo. It has a population of 3 million inhabitants, with the majority ethnic group being Polynesian tribes.

Mavya had been visited by Daxian settlers during the Daxian Polynesian Wars, though it was never directly conquered by the empire. The island was isolated for the majority of its history, only interacting with tribes in the nearby Tebelvonia and Cardo in recent decades, which allowed for small, recent waves of Polynesian and Daxian migrations from the Peratran mainland onto the island of Mavya. The main city, Taka'huī, is located in the northern coast of the island, and is home to half of the region's population. The remaining inhabitants are spread out in smaller cities, including Ralateka, Pohu'anuī, along with hundreds of small villages.

Geography

Mavya is an island region located in the southwest corner of the Peratran islands, which are a subcontinent of Australis. The island is almost entirely surrounded by the Ocean of Cathay, with the southeast coast being on the Bay of Diamav. Mavya features a major river that flows down the middle of the island, where the majority of the region's largest cities are located. The southeastern and southwestern areas are defined by the Mavyan Highlands, where two medium-sized lakes are located, and is the source of 90% of Mavya's freshwater.

Mavya features an entirely temperate oceanic climate, with largely mild winter months and cool but not too hot summer months. Mavya also receives frequent precipitation year-round. The highest temperatures usually do not exceed 26 degrees celsius nor do they drop lower than -5 degrees celsius.
