Queen Maria Andrea of Urcea (Maria Andrea Lorcánius Velucianus, born Maria Andrea Lorcánius Etiena on 27 October 1984) is the spouse of King Riordan VIII and mother to Leo, Prince of Halfway.
During her time as Queen, Maria Andrea has become the unofficial liaison of the Apostolic King to the Government of Urcea, according to several Conshilía Daoni sources she is well known in Urceopolis as an effective lobbyist on behalf of the interests of the Crown as well as House de Weluta. In 2014, she was given the nickname "the King's Hammer" due to her effectiveness as a lobbyist. She has gained considerable criticism by some, especially the Social Labor Party, who view her intervention in governmental affairs to be inappropriate. Like her husband, the Queen enjoys considerable personal popularity according to most polls.
Childhood and parentage
Maria Andrea Lorcánius Etiena was born in Philaridon, Urcea, on 27 October 1984, the fourth child of Alice Fellshatus Etiena (née Reidan) and Andreas Lorcánius Etiena. Her father Andreas was an accomplished career lobbyist while her mother Alice was a homemaker and a fourth cousin of James Dynan, then a young officer and Custóir of the Fellshatus Estate.
