This name is used by the Diamavyan government, prominent businesses, and people learning Diamavyan. The latter is the informal and more commonly used name for the country, roughly translating to "Namook People" from the Diamavyan word for the Namook mountain range and the Melliferan indigenous word for "people". Phonetically the latter sounds out "Namooklahoma" based on the history behind the Diamavyan name for the territory the Melliferan Union presides over.
