Department of Energy and Mineral Resources: Difference between revisions

The {{wp|electrical power grid}} that powers [[Cartadania]] is vast. It is not a single grid, but is instead divided into three {{wp|wide area synchronous grid}}s. The [[Central Interconnection (Cartadania)|Central Interconnection]] is the largest, providing power to nearly 200 million people. The other two regions are the Western Interconnection, which covers the territory annexed from Vachena, and the Eastern Interconnection, which covers the entirety of Urlazio, including the Caphirian provinces of [[Caenna]], [[Cesindes]], [[Iscasta]], [[Luria]], [[Netharra]], [[Ovalutia]], and [[Salbis]] (although these provinces are overseen by the [[Ministries of Caphiria#Ministry of Infrastructure|Caphirian Ministry of Infrastructure]] and not CEMR). Each region delivers power at a nominal 60 Hz frequency. The three regions are not usually directly connected or synchronized to each other, but there are some {{wp|HVDC}} {{wp|Interconnector}}s.
