The Seat of the Directorate is the office of the head of state of [[Faneria]]. Formerly titled 'Despot', a holdover of a joke made about the first leader of the Republic, [[Callac Cananach]], the position was renamed in 2018 when the sitting official, Brennan Cían [[Walaerin]], requested the change during the political upset of his switch from the Starkist to the Futurist faction within the [[Political Parties of Faneria#Central Republic Party|CRP]]. The position is elected every five years, and holds the typical powers of an executive branch, approving laws made by the legislature, directing the overall geopolitical, diplomatic, military, and economic goals of the country, and acting as the face of the nation.
