The '''Belrac Caldera''' was formed around 74,000,000 years ago when andesitic magma pierced the earths crust and came into contact with surface water, resulting in a Surtseyan Explosive eruption along the coast of the Belrac plains in southeastern [[Levantia]]. The explosion was so intense that samples from the period show ejecta as far away as southern [[Fiannria]]. It is estimated that the explosion created 2,800 km3 of ejecta.
