Vrael is a province of Faneria located on the westernmost point of its metropolitan region. It borders the Kilikas Sea to the north and west, Cost Tàirne to the northeast, and Gleathan to the south and east.
Geography
The border with Gleathan runs along Gwyn's River, while the provincial capital and several other major cities center around the twin Kurik and Kuril Rivers. (Resolve the river damming/topo on this and Cost Tairne pages) Kedhúkesta and Bhrael Peninsulas
Economy
Vrael is a major trading hub for Faneria, with railways and numerous projects increasing its connections with the Ninerivers region. Commercial fishing, logging, and light manufacturing make up the core of the economy, with a large tourism and service sector supporting a powerful banking sector. The region is notable for its well-managed fisheries and many bays and inlets, which make it a popular summer retreat for boating and fishing enthusiasts, even from abroad.
Politics
Vrael is heavily divided politically, being a battleground between the Republican Party and the National Party.
Demographics
While not as heavily populated as Gleathan, Vrael is well-developed and more diverse than most of the country, having a significant Coscivian minority and a plurality of Sheafhainn. The area has a long-standing maritime tradition, even being referred to as 'Little Burgundie' during the height of its shipbuilding industry in the 1700s.
