Anglei's final warning
Anglei's final warning (Burgoignesc: L'ultime avertissement d'Anglei, East Gothic: Änglalands letzte Warnung) is a Yonderian idiom meaning a warning that carries no real consequences. The phrase is thought to have been coined by Siegmar von Willing whose mercenary band, the Black Company, made numerous incursions into Ænglish territories around the time of the Great Confessional War. This resulted in numerous warnings and threats that rang hollow in the face of the Black Company.
The stories of von Willing's exploits in Anglei and the dangers of empty threats makes the idiom comparable to the story of The Boy Who Cried Wolf in Yonderian culture. It is particularly used in the Yonderian Counties Vollardie, Moncheval, Somua and Montgebirre, all of which border the modern United Angle States.
