A national adjective describes something as being from that country, for example, "Caphirian cuisine" is "cuisine of Caphiria". A demonym denotes the people or the inhabitants of or from there, for example, "Capetians" are people of or from the Cape. Most demonyms and national adjectives are derivatives of the name of the country to which they relate, but there are exceptions.
