History

Hyansae Jaseon was fascinated by cars and as a young man decided he would make Metzetta's finest automobiles, and began designing what would become the Type 1 in the 1930's. The Second Great War delayed his plans, however he was finally able to put his design into production in 1943.

Type 1

Hyansae Motors Type 1; the company's first production model, preserved in the Metzettan Transport Museum.

Hysansae Jaseon was in the process of designing his first car in the 30's, however due to the Second Great War it did not enter production until 1943. The engine produced 62 horsepower and was paired with a 3-speed manual transmission and drum brakes. The Type 1 was available as a sedan or convertible and was the basis for the Type 2 light truck and Type 3 van. The convertible was available starting in 1944, the Type 2 entered production the same year and the Type 3 was available from 1945.

The first 5 Type 1 models produced were set aside for special purposes; the very first was an indigo model presented to Emperor Jan-Hu as a gift, the second was a tan model kept by Jaseon himself for personal use (it is this very car which can be seen in the Metzettan Transport Museum), the third was a black model given to Giovanni II of Aciria as a sign of friendship between nations; the fourth a maroon model given to X and the fifth was another black model gifted to X.
