Automotive Industry in Metzetta

The automotive industry is a major employer in Metzetta and accounts for nearly 10% of the country's export market. The majority of the activity in the sector is centred in the city of Jamsu. Metzettan cars, buses, trucks and motorcycles are exported to many countries across the world.
The Big Four
There are four major automobile manufacturers in Metzetta, sometimes nicknamed "The Big Four." They are;
- Hyansae Motors, the oldest of the Metzettan car manufacturers. Hyansae manufacture both cars and motorcycles and export to more countries than any other Metzettan brand. While their headquarters are located in Inyang, their factories are mostly centred in and around Jamsu. Hyansae cars are popular in Daxia.
- Miu Motors, a brand usually known for its affordable models. Miu also provide most of the buses used around Metzetta. Both their offices and factories are located in Ankae, within close reach of the port for easy exporting.
- Jadocha Motors, who manufacture cars, buses and trucks, with a contract to provide the Metzettan military with specialised vehicles. Exports around Alshar but rarely further. Jadocha's head offices are found in Uchyeo but their main production line is in Jamsu.
- Sung-Gohan Automobiles, known internationally as Imperial Automobiles. They are an automotive conglomerate who manufacture vehicles under several marques, often sharing parts and platforms across their brands to save costs. Sung-Gohan purchased Saraçen Motors in 2020 to become their newest marque. Their headquarters and manufacturing facilities are located in Jamsu.

Daekang Motor Vehicles
A defunct brand, Daekang was named after the historical country of the same name and went out of business in 2002. They were based in Ankae, with most of their assets bought by Miu Motors after their dissolution.
Kwaeyong Automotive
MSH
MSH is a performance-oriented brand who do not engage in any exporting themselves; therefore international buyers would have to arrange their own shipping, making their products a rare sight outside of Metzetta.
Imports
Foreign motor vehicles imported to Metzetta must pass through the Metzettan Automobile Importers & Distributers (MAID) agency. Currently the following brands are imported into Metzetta:
Between 1974 and 1988, Metzetta imported around 50,000 SPCVs from Daxia, however only 8000 or so are still operational today due to the model's poor reliability and inadequate rustproofing.
