The imperial complex consists of 330 buildings for use by the Imperial Family, governments officials, the Imperial Guard and several tourist attractions. In addition to these structures there are also several helipads on the grounds for receiving visiting heads of state and for occasional use by the Emperor.
Gates
There are six gates through which the imperial complex can be accessed. The main entrance consists of three consecutive squares or plazas, each of which can be sealed off from the next.
