The Jangeomhan Gungjeon Imperial Complex has been the main residence of the Emperor of Metzetta since 1394, when Emperor Lo moved there. It is located in Hanzeong's Socheon District. The complex houses many buildings, including residences and government offices, and is flanked by the Emperor's Gardens.
History

Buildings
The imperial complex consists of 330 buildings for use by the Imperial Family, governments officials, the Imperial Guard and several tourist attractions. The interiors of some buildings are kept highly secret as a matter of national security, however the general layout of the complex is public knowledge. In addition to these structures there are also several helipads on the grounds for receiving visiting heads of state and for occasional use by the Emperor.
Gates
There are six gates through which the imperial complex can be accessed. The main entrance consists of three consecutive squares or plazas, each of which can be sealed off from the next.

Hwangsil Geojuji
The Imperial Residence, housing the Emperor and their immediate family (typically their spouse and children, though formerly siblings also lived with the Emperor). The residence boasts 64 rooms spread over 3 floors, including a basement level. It has three main wings; a residential wing of private apartments consisting of 20 rooms; a wing of 32 office rooms; and a wing of 10 rooms dedicated to guest receptions.

The headquarters of the Imperial Guard, a unit dedicated to the protection of the Emperor and their family.
Myeongye Geoju
The oldest residence standing in the complex, originally the Emperor's private quarters before the construction of the Hwangsil Geojuji. Now it is always offered first to the Emperor's mother if she is still alive, and usually to siblings or children of the Emperor if not, though favoured aunts, uncles and cousins have also been offered the residence. It consists of 39 rooms decorated in the traditional Metzettan style.

Meosjin Geojuji
The newest residence standing in the complex, completed in 1888, usually offered to the crown prince or princess provided they are old enough to live alone. It boasts 48 rooms of impressive size, allowing additional family members to comfortably move in if required. Currently occupied by Emperor Hachi's older sister Princess Hironi and her family.

Imperial Household Hospital
A small state-of-the-art hospital for use by the imperial family. Most members of the royal family have been born here since it was established in 1XXX. As it is used for just one family there are only 3 beds in the hospital, however the building is outfitted to host any manner of procedure up to and including major surgeries.
SALMA SHRINE
Gungjeon Bagmulgwan
The palace museum, open to tourists and the general public. The building was once staff residences but nowadays staff live offsite to facilitate a better work-life balance. It is located within the first gate so as to keep visitors away from the more secure areas of the complex. There are sections for both historical artefacts and an art gallery.
IMPERIAL GARAGE
Houses much of the state transport of Metzetta, also used to house and repair vehicles belonging to the Imperial Guard and select others.
Wangsil Gilog Bogwanso
The imperial archive, which houses artefacts and documents from throughout Metzetta's past.
Acirian Embassy
As a sign of the special relationship shared between Aciria and Metzetta, the Acirian embassy to Metzetta is located within the palace grounds. It is constructed in the traditional Acirian style and trees native to Sarpedon have been planted around the area. A statue of Fulvio Pisani stands in front of the building, and several lavish suites are maintained on the top level of the building for visiting officials.
