Pukhtinstan is a region in south-central Audonia, in the Daria refion. It borders Umardwal and Yanuban to the west, and Dhavastu to the north.

Calto sits in Audonia's southern region Daria, and its area was primarily settled by Afghan and Pakistani peoples, and is the confluence of Eastern Islamic, Hindu, Zoroastrian, Sikh, Jain, and Buddhist civilization. Much of Pukhtunistan's pre-history and early history is largely defined by the presence of nomadic tribes who were ancestors of the Afghan/Pakistani people, similar to the rest of south-central Audonia. In the Classical period the area was part of large Buddhist, Hindu, and Zoroastrian empires like the Arunid Empire. The critical change in this region came in the medieval period, as the region was subject to significant Islamic influence, particularly during the Oduniyyad Caliphate. As a result there are strong Islamic influence on the culture of Pukhtunistan.
