.ti, or .ᑎ, is the internet country code top-level domain (ccTLD) associated with the Tierradorian Woqalate. It was officially established on April 9, 1985, making it one of the earliest country code to be registered, along with the .ᑎ domain[1] being established in 2008 as the first internationalized ccTLD.
As of 2037, .ti is one of the most popular top-level domains in the world, having a little over 14 million registrations, while .ᑎ is the most widely-used international ccTLD, with 3 million registrations. It is the most popular top-level domain in South Crona.
Both the .ti and .ᑎ domains have used NeoDNSSEC since October 2009. Both domains are owned and regulated by Tierrador Online.
History
The first international internet connections made from Levantia to Crona were established in 1974 by engineers at the University of Taisgol, and had used it, and had become a popular form of early resource sharing across universities in Tierrador. Eventually, as the internet became more advanced in the late 1970s and 1980s, it would quickly become a tool for defense and weather forecasting. In October of 1984, Tierrador Networking (today TOL) had been formed in Ominasky, Alcosky, and had suggested the use of ".ti" in response to the creation of the ccTLD network. At the time of the network's formation, the ISO 3166-1 list of country codes had designated Tierrador's code as "QA" ("Qabór"), despite the usage of .ti throughout the network. This lead to the delay of .ti's launch due to the network's refusal to adopt and change its TLD to .qa. On August 9, 1985, the domain .ti was eventually chosen and registered as Tierrador's domain. Tierrador Networking had still reserved .qa as an alternate top-level domain, though it was never widely used.
As the internet became more publicized and widely-used throughout Tierrador, the .ti domain had become an integral part in the marketing industry. Companies that had recently opened internet commerce and information sites, such as ATTC's launch of their e-commerce site in 1989, branded themselves with the .ti domain. The domain and registration process would also be marketed by Tierrador Networking, as they had recorded massive profits through registration fees and the increased demand for internet communications.
In 2002, Tierrador Networking changed its name to "Tierrador Online," then abbreviated the official name to "TOL" six months later. TOL was granted full control over internet regulations and innovations in South Crona, per a request by the company made in 2000. With .ti as its most valuable asset, TOL profited greatly from domain registrations under .ti and its various second-level domains of the time.
In 2008, Tierrador became one of the first nations to feature an internationalized ccTLD, .ᑎ, derived from the Abioic syllabic for "Ti." TOL pushed for Tierradorian commercial websites to register domains in Abioic syllabics, as to preserve the Qabóri traditions associated with using the writing system. By 2020, .ti had surpassed 10 million registered domains, while .ᑎ had spiked to 2.5 million domains in just under a dozen years.
Registration
Users who wish to register a domain with .ti must first apply to TILaqoso.ti, a not-for-profit organization overseen by TOL. Registration for the .ti domain had originally been reserved only to Tierradorian citizens and Tierradorian-based organizations. As usage of the domain reached the international stage, the restrictions were loosened to allow for domain hacks to be registered by Tierradorian video game developers. Domains under .ti must consist of Latin letters, Arabic numerals, and basic Latin punctuation. Similarly, domains under .ᑎ must consist of exclusively Abioic syllabics, not allowing any other form of writing.

Internationalized domains

In 2008, TOL launched a series of internationalized domains using Abioic syllabics, including the country code TLD, .ᑎ, along with private companies and organizations applying for and launching seven Abioic generic-use domains, including:
- .konr (.ᑯᐣᖋ, com), the most widely-used Abioic syllabic domain.
- .tapha (.ᑕᑊᐦᐊ, gov)
- .joya (.ᒍᔭ, law)
- .mijot (.ᒥᒍᐟ, edu)
- .paqo (.ᐸᖁ, net)
- .tectili (.ᑌᐨᑎᕄ, commerce)
- .ipot (.ᐃᐳ, travel)
Abioic syllabic domains were initially registered under .ᑎ, however, major companies such as VTBC, Parténát, Aegan Group, and Palmtree Electronics had begun registering their Abioic websites under these generic-use domains. As of 2038, only 30% of Abioic domains use .ᑎ, the remainder using the above seven domains. ".ᑯᐣᖋ," ".ᐸᖁ," and ".ᑕᑊᐦᐊ" were amongst the most popular Abioic generic-use domains.
Domain hacks
Several domain hacks use the .ti domain. During the internet's "golden age" (2007-2015), TOL loosened restrictions for whoever could register under the domain, which allowed an massive influx of both Latin and Abioic domain hacks, specifically being registered by mass media firms.
