Big Twinkie is a Daxian food company that specializes in bakery products, namely its flagship product the twinkie snack cake. Big Twinkie as implied by its name is one of the largest bakery companies in Audonia. Big Twinkie participates in many joint production ventures with Agario, one of which is the development of aspic based twinkies. Big Twinkie was formed in 2008 from the merger of Mianbao Bakeries and BonBon Snacks. The company is the sole holder of the patent to manufacture the sponge cake popularly known as Twinkie.

History

Big Twinkie was formed on 2008 when candy manufacturer BonBon Snacks acquired Mianbao Bakeries and its cake business assets including its patent of the twinkie sponge cake (called dangao in local parlance). Despite holding the patent and being the sole manufacturer of a popular food item, the family owned and run Mianbao was saddled with an unmanageable amount of debt and was having trouble getting access to more capital to operate; it been forced to lay off a fourth of its workforce only three years prior. BonBon Snacks corporate leadership had long coveted the twinkie and was in a good position to acquire it now and add it to its already large catalogue of snack and pastry offerings. BonBon could also secure better terms in a renegotiation with Mianbao's creditors than Mianbao itself could so the sale was considered good business all around. After being approached with an offer, Mianbao's owners agreed to a sale provided their workforce's positions were guaranteed.

Once the sale was concluded, BonBon Snacks renamed itself to Big Twinkie and proceeded to elevate its newest acquisition into its flagship product, rolling out a new aggressive advertising campaign and inking several deals with leading supermarket chains like Agario to carry the twinkie. In 2024 the company underwent a significant rebranding, fully changing the company's imagery and colors. Gone were the pastel blues and yellows and minimalist logo, replaced with a more colorful caramel theme and the prominent inclusion of a new and exciting corporate mascot named Mister Tony Twinkie. Sales of the twinkie grew year in and year out and the acquisition of Mianbao Bakeries could be conclusively said to have paid for itself within five years.

Big Twinkie today operates directly or through subsidiary companies in all of Audonia, Peratra, Sarpedon, Crona and Great Kirav. It is reportedly in talks with Coria Clux on an agreement to include some of its products on their restaurants as desserts. Big Twinkie considers eroding the popularity and reputation of the Yonderian pastry industry as a key objective of its global strategy for growth.
