The Federation of Daxian Beef Producers is a government-sanctioned private organization that regulates the production, marketing and sale of beef in Daxia. Created in 1994 by leading Daxian producers, it operates as a cartel to improve the profits of its affiliated companies, collectively pressure regulators and dominate the meat markets. As of 2026, affiliates of the FCBP produced 92% of Daxian Beef and 57% of Alshar's supply.
Overview
The FCBP plays an all powerful role in the collective marketing of meat products and in organizing sales inside and outside the country. Accused by many of operating very much like a cartel and engaging in anti competitive shenanigans, the FCBP counters that is a force to maintain the meat markets stable and prices affordable for the average consumer while making sure quality benchmarks are rigorously followed in all its affiliate companies.
History
For several years the Daxian beef industry giants were one of the main financial pillars of the PCD and its electoral campaigns. After the 1992 victory the largest national beef producers in the country were given permission to band together and form the Federation of Daxian Beef Producers with the stated goal to seize full control of the natonal beef market. The new Federation was given the authority to enforce quality controls, set production quotas on all producers and enact fines and other punitive measures. All producers were obligated to join the Federation if they wished to sell their product on the national market. The Federation would also become the exclusive sales agent of all Daxian beef with foreign clients.
The FCBP has spearheaded the introduction of bovine cattle to north Crona and vigorously pushed for the freeing up of millions of hectares dedicated for grazing and ranching. The FCBP is in talks with the Zanoma Regional Administration in Varshan on the issue of acquiring land seized from wealthy landowners involved in crimes during the war.
The FCBP has taken a leading role in pushing back against campaigns for the ethical consumption of animals and calls for reduced meat consumption on health grounds. The FCBP regularly pushes out publicity campaigns bashing vegetarianism and touting the benefits of a protein rich diet. FCBP backed goons regularly trash vegetarian and vegan events. It also runs the 'Bovine University', an accredited institution where would-butchers attend certification courses.
