The Maresia Chamber of Deputies is the lower house of the Maresia General Assembly, the upper house being the Senate of Maresia. The Chamber convenes, along with the Senate, at the Maresia State Capitol in Auvergne. The Chamber is equal with the Senate, the lower chamber of the legislature, except that taxation bills must originate in the Chamber, similar to the federal Congress. Members of the Chamber of Deputies are elected every four years by the voters of the 150 representative districts on the Tuesday succeeding the first Monday in October, mirroring federal elections. The last election took place in October 2023. There are no term limits for deputies, though most do not serve more than three terms.
