The Maresia General Assembly is a bicameral state legislature consisting of a lower house, the Maresia Chamber of Deputies, with 150 members; and an upper house, the Senate of Maresia, with 50 members. Both houses of the Legislature convene at the Maresia State Capitol in Auvergne. The Maresia state legislature is one of just ten full-time state legislatures in Cartadania.
The Social Democracy Party currently holds veto-proof supermajorities in both houses of the Maresia General Assembly. The House consists of 127 SDPs and 22 UCPs, with one vacancy, while the Senate is composed of 39 SDPs and 11 UCPS. Similar to Verona, both the Chamber and Senate have continuously been in SDP hands since the 1911 election.
