Alcoholic beverages are regulated by the Tierrador Food and Drug Authority (TAAM), and Tierradorians consume the most alcohol per capita on the Cronan continent. Even though alcohol is a major component of Tierradorian culture, it has a long history of disputes with the Tierradorian Government. Beginning during the Qerécs Regime in 1970, the government and TAAM ran several propaganda campaigns dissuading Tierradorians from purchasing and consuming alcoholic beverages, using over-exaggerated statistics and false mortality and sickness rates in order to scare the citizens out of getting involved with alcoholic beverages.
