Arcerion and Burgundie also have several modern collective defense agreements. These cover wide ranging issues such as intelligence sharing, maritime sovereignty, training and joint basing, as well as co-funding research products to maximize their industrial and defense bases for mutual benefit.
Burgundie is the only non-Cronan observe of the Cronan Union, an economic and defense partnership that has many of the major Occidental powers in South Crona. Burgundie has also participated in joint exercises hosted by the Cronan Union, as well as contributing ships, aircraft, and personnel for anti-piracy and counter-terrorism tasks in South Crona, the Polynesian Sea, and most recently the Albion Sea in support of Arcerion's gas and drilling rights.
While Arcerion and Burgundie have no signed collective or mutual defense agreement, there is significant progress and rights for it, as they have traditionally supported eachother's defense and secuirty ventures throughout the modern and post-Great War era. Despite international pressures and unfavourable Levantine support, Burgundie supported Arcerion through the Fourth Bush War, both of its conflicts in Istrenya, the Telekonese Conflict, as well as with consistent border and maritime tensions involving the Cape.
Arcerion also joined the Burgundie-led modern AVISO program, which aims to provide new frigates and corvettes for the Royal Arcerion Naval Service, including rebuilding the nation's atrophied shipbuilding capacity into the 2020s and 2030s.
