The lengthy Derian civil war post-Corcra treaty between various factions in the wake of the collapse of the Deric Republic. The pro-treaty forces eventually win but only after King Lucas of Urcea is assassinated in 1952 by Derian Socialists; shifting LOTA focus BACK to Latium provides for the end of the Great War. The horrors of the Third Fratricide basically take the wind out of the sails of any Derian revanchists and destroys their ability to make war, making the Deric States a party who will play nice
