Tredagon Arms Foundry is a Kiravian publicly traded arms manufacturing and defence contracting corporation.
The foundry was founded by its founder D.P. Tredagon, a Kernan Coscivian metallurgist from Serikorda, and originally specialised in the manufacture of cannons and cannonballs, primarily for naval use. Tredagon equipped the growing Kiravian Navy of the New Confederation, as well as private merchant vessels, such as those sailing for the Bay Trading Company. Fierce military, colonial, and mercantile competition, particularly with Burgundie, kept cannon in high demand and proved immensely profitable for the Tredagon Works.
After the Kiravian Civil War, the Tredagon Works themselves fell under the control of the Kiravian Union, which continued to operate them under the supervision of the Commissariat of Munitions. However, most of the company's leadership and technical specialists were evacuated to the Kiravian Remnant, where they were put to work at new facilities in Porfíria and Æonara to supply the embattled Remnant with modern artillery, torpedos, bombs, and missiles. After Kiravian reunification, the company resumed control over its Mainland facilities, and went public in 1989 AD.
In 1997 Tredagon acquired and absorbed the midsized handgun manufacturer Seukambar Armaments SAK. Now a fully-integrated division of Tredagon, Seukambar is the leading supplier of sidearms to Kiravian provincial and local police forces, and has also fulfilled contracts with the Kiravian Federal Police and Diplomatic Security Service.
