The Audonian Garrote (Burg: La Garrote Ularien), more commonly called La Garrote, referring to the strangulation weapon the garrotte, is both a policy of and a criticism of Burgundie's presence in Audonia and Alshar. It specifically refers to Burgundie's colonization and ongoing control of the islands of Chaukhira, Alcairet, Salarive, and very recently Antilles controlling traffic through the Aab-e-Farus, the Bay of Kandahar, and the Gulf of Kandara whatever we are calling it now.

Criticisms

Corumm

Corumm in particular extends this definition to also include Ayermer and Sudmoll because of their proximity to key ports in Corumm and Stenza respectively. It has long been a point of conflict between Corumm and Burgundie. During the Age of Sail it lead Corumm to develop its own trading company, the South Seas Development Company and its fleet the Harmonious Flotilla Invincible. During the Second Great War, Corumm laid seige to and then invaded Ayermer, in the Battle of Ayermer, which Burgundie lost.
