The XXXV Corps is a corps of the Urcean Royal and Imperial Army. It is a major formation of the Far Western Command and is stationed in New Harren. The unit was first formed in the Second Great War and participated in significant actions against Caphiria in Urlazio and remained deployed to Lariana after the war through the 1980s. It was then deployed to New Harren and became one of Urcea's principal Royal and Imperial Army formations in Cusinaut during the Deluge. It remains a critical part of New Harren's military defense following the Deluge.
History
Established as one of the formations quickly raised in the midst of the Second Great War, XXXV Corps was intended to be deployed to Audonia in support of Burgundie as part of the Oriental Expeditionary Force, but was diverted to Lariana in mid-March 1935. XXXV Corps would fight in Urlazio for the remainder of the war as part of the Department of the Odoneru, and it was responsible for significant breakthroughs in Caphirian lines in the early 1940s resulting in the capture of the Ecinis peninsula and encirclement of Caphiric forces on the island. After the end of the war, XXXV Corps remained one of Urcea's principal Caphiria-facing units. It remained deployed to Lariana until May 1985, with a brief intermission during Operation Kipling where it was needed to cover forces previously stationed in Halfway. With the end of the Occidental Cold War in 1984 and decreasing militarization of Urcean possessions in Sarpedon, XXXV Corps was transferred to the Rectory of New Harren in June 1985. Receiving minimal attention, the unit became considered a backwater posting until the beginning of the War of the Northern Confederation in 2008, when it was the tip of the spear of Urcean forces and scored nearly all major Urcean victories in that war. During the Deluge, XXXV Corps became Urcea's premier ground formation in Cusinaut and received significant attention in terms of experienced personnel and equipment. XXXV Corps was initially the only unit engaged in the first skirmishes of the Final War of the Deluge, known as the Tepetlcali campaign. In the initial weeks of the campaign it was forced to withdraw south against advancing Algoquonan forces, but after the arrival of reinforcements it played the decisive role in capturing the bulk of the Algoquonan invasion force. It was subsequently shifted to Cetsencalia to fight in the Invasion of Cetsencalia in February 2021 but was unable to arrive in time to prevent the fall of New Taxades. For the next two years, it was part of the Cetsencalia front. It was critical in the liberation of New Taxades, and after two years of hard fighting it was held in reserve during Operation Gideon. For the rest of the war, it was deployed in the Urcean western sector, capturing the west coast of Varshan. Following allied victory and the Fall of Anzo. It returned back to New Harren in June 2024 and participated in limited cleanup operations against the Algoquonan government. XXXV Corps then formed part of the occupying force of the Algosh Republic until February 2026, when it finally returned to base in New Harren after six years of fighting.
