The Boreal Order of the North Star is a Nysdra Sea Treaty Association (NSTA) order of chivalry, rewarding contributions in defense of NSTA and its member states. The Order was established by Riordan VIII of Urcea and New Yustona following the end of the Final War of the Deluge. It is modeled, in part, on the Imperial Order of the Holy Cross. The badge of the Order appears on the NSTA flag and on the arms of New Yustona.

History

In the waning days of the Final War of the Deluge, many honorifics, awards, and titles of honor were distributed among the allies and particularly between the Apostolic King of Urcea and members of NSTA. While many of the leading figures of the war were awarded with the Imperial Order of the Holy Cross - an order given for advancing the cause of Catholicism or the Levantine Union - many in New Yustona and Quetzenkel sought an award specific to the Nysdra region which commemorated achievements in Crona. Advocates for such an award believed that it would help build a sense of fraternity among leading, prominent individuals from the NSTA states and help build regional cooperation after the war. On 23 July 2024, Riordan VIII created the Order in his role as both King of Urcea and as King of New Yustona, awarding Martin St. Clair and Guillaume d'Agostino (commanders of the Royal and Imperial Army and Royal and Confederate Army, respectively) as well as King Telucti I of Quetzenkel the rank of Grand Knight in the order. The NSTA Council confirmed its association with the award the same day.
