Fhasen makes use of numerous artificial conventions created by fiat during the rule of Rethys II Suthar-Màrtainn during the 17th Century. Rethys II created modern Fhasen as an administrative dialect, combining elements of and loanwords from Gaelocoscivian, tribal Fennigaelic, Sheafteang, Latin, [[Faeskt]], Canish Gaelic, and Itheateang languages.
