Task Force VII, referred to variously as Tactical Unit Alpha, Special Operation Forces Group 7, Raven Team, and colloquially known as the "Hooded Crows" due to their distinctive service uniform, is a joint special operations force between the Imperial Legion and Department of Civilian Intelligence (DCI). Along with Division DCCLXXVII and the Octoriantes, Task Force VII is one of the most secretive military special operations forces in Caphiria, tasked with performing the most complex, classified, and dangerous missions.
Task Force VII conducts various specialized missions such as counterterrorism, hostage rescue, special reconnaissance, and direct action (short-duration strikes or small-scale offensive actions), often against high-value targets. The operations force also conducts direct action missions such as raids, ambushes, sabotage, targeted killings, and unconventional warfare (e.g., training and leading guerrilla and military units of other countries in combat). As a special operations unit, Task Force VII is not necessarily under the command authority of the ground commanders in those countries. Instead, while in theater, Raven Team units report directly to a Field General or to the Caetus Legati.
