The Nordmontaine War was a conflict between the central authorities of the Holy Levantine Empire, the crusader realm Joanusterra and the Kingdom of Angla as a consequence of the Protestant Reformation. Emperor Conchobar III's vigorous prosecution of the counter-reformation led to consistent disagreement and disputes between the Emperor and the Protestant princes of the Empire, especially those in the Kingdom of Dericania.
