Foreign relations of Castadilla
The foreign relationships of Castadilla refers to the relations with other governments and organisations that Castadilla establishes and maintains. Since the Velvet Revolution and the fall of the Estado Social, Castadilla has been known for its commitment to both democracy and socialism as well as its opposition to ultranationalism. Its turn away from the largely isolationist authoritarian conservative dictatorship that had ruled the country for sixty years had led to international perception of the country improving greatly over time. Castadilla is a member of the League of Nations as well as the Vallosi Economic Association alongside neighbouring nations Takatta Loa and Lucrecia.
Classification Table for International Relations (TCRI)
Starting in 1948, Castadilla and its preceding Estado Social regime has published a guide for the classification of international relations; it was primarily meant for diplomats, elected public officials, and even the average citizen. Indeed, the main purpose behind this guide was to inform the citizenry about which nations were considered to be friendly and which nations were considered to be unfriendly in the eyes of the government. It was not until the early 1970s when the Estado Social regime began to emerge out of its diplomatic near-isolation that the TCRI and its accompanying guide was first introduced to the world, with countries like Ardmore and Vithinja adopting their own variants of the TCRI. A printed edition of this guide is published annually, but with the rise of the internet there exists an online edition of the guide which is updated on a more frequent basis as changes in international relations occur.
