'''Grajnidar''', officially the '''Kingdom of Grajnidar''', is a medium-sized Constitutional Monarchy located in southern [[Sarpedon]] next to its northern and only neighbour [[Aciria]]. It is home to more than 79 million citizens, of which a majority is ethnically Grajni. Kharitanians and Vsikites are considered a minority in the country. Grajnidarens are part of the Ganastic ethno-linguistic group, which remains one of the smallest in the whole world. The capital and largest city is Minvras with over 8 million residents. The Kingdom of Grajnidar remains a developed country with an advanced, high-income economy.

<nowiki>[[category:Countries]]</nowiki>
== Name ==
Grajnidar's name means the "Land of the Grajnis" in New Grajni and other Southern Ganatic languages. The word Grajni is used in a slightly simplified form, the original one being Kgrajni, which is nowadays officially used only in some regions of Grajnidar. The word Grajni itself derivates from the proto-ganatic word Kgran, meaning 'the sea human'.

The country has been traditionally divided into three lands, namely Grajni (''Kgrajni'') in the south, Kharitania (''Khnartarin'') in the west, and Vsikit (Vssiktit) in the north.
'''Metzetta''' is a country in East [[Alshar]] comprising the Metzettan Peninsula and the Metzettan Archipelago to the south.

Metzetta has been inhabited since prehistory, with the earliest pottery fragments dating from around 8000 BC. In the 3rd Century AD the kingdoms of Metzetta were united under an [[Emperor of Metzetta|Emperor]] and imperial court based in [[Hanzeong]], the nation's capital and largest, most populous city. Following [[Great War|The Great War]], Metzetta's government arrived at a somewhat unique position wherein the Imperial House was allowed to continue to exist, but many of the Emperor's duties were delegated to an elected position; for which the emperor is eligible to run. In effect, the imperial court became a political party which sometimes controlled the country entirely and sometimes became mostly a ceremonial figurehead, depending on the whims of the voters.

Metzetta is a developed country which faces an aging population problem. The populace benefit from a high-speed train network and globally influential music and film sectors. The official language, [[Metzi]], is written using Hangul, and is considered a language isolate.
==Etymology==
The ancient kingdom of [[Meseda-jo|Meseda]] derived its name from "Me" (메) meaning hill or mountain, and "Seda" (섿아) meaning fierce, strong or powerful; altogether the name translated as "Fierce Hill" or "Powerful Mountain" in reference not only to the mountainous terrain of the region, but also specifically to Adamant Hill where the Emperor's castle stood in Hanzeong. By the time Meseda had conquered the neighbouring kingdoms, the spelling and pronunciations of the root words had changed to "Mettu" (멛두) and "Zetta" (ㅿ엗다) from which the modern name is drawn.

==History==
=== The Great Grajnidaren Raids ===
Local legends hold that Metzetta and the surrounding lands were created by the gods; archaeological evidence has not yet been found to support this version of events.
The first ever mentions of the Ganatic tribes come from the 6th century, when they entered the continent of Sarpedon as raiders. It is not known where they came from
===Prehistory===
=== Age Of Settlement ===
Tool-making artefacts have been found in Metzetta dating from around 700,000 years ago. Settlements seem to have been concentrated in the central-western portion of the country. Agricultural societies and the most primitive forms of social-political complexities emerged around 1500 BC, developing around both dry-field and paddy-field crops. Beginning in 850 BC, chiefs began to take command over societies, and their (for the time) lavish burials have been excavated across the country. Bronze-production became possible in 700 BC and immediately cemented itself as a cornerstone of civilisation. Long distance trade, increasing levels of local conflict and the development of iron metallurgy signalled the end of this era of history about 300 BC.
=== First Grajni Empire ===
===Ancient Kingdoms===
=== Acirian Nationalists War ===
The first Metzettan kingdom, and the one which would come to dominate all others, was Meseda, supposedly founded by [[Emperor Yang-jo]] (a direct descendant of the gods) in 2333 BC. Written records from 700 BC attest that the kingdom was certainly well-established by this time. Meseda's capital was located in Hanzeong as it is today. Meseda is sometimes referred to in later accounts as Meseda-jo to differentiate it from modern-day Metzetta, but it was never known by this name at the time.
=== Second Grajni Empire ===
=== Age Of Chaos ===
=== Age Of Reforms ===
=== The Kingdom of Grajnidar ===
Most of the early history of Grajnidar is totally unknown as the first ever mentions of the Ganatic tribes come from the 6th century, when they entered the continent of Sarpedon as raiders. After decades of chaos and killing they decided to stay in the southern part of the continent, supposedly because of the rich natural resources and overall good conditions to live, where they split into 3 main groups of tribes. The very first form of state emerged from the Grajni group, which was supposedly the most advanced one of them and basically remained dominant throughout the history, in the middle 8th century. What is officially called the First Grajni Empire was then a dominant force in the south-western Sarpedon for a long time, with all the Kharitan tribes later joining the Empire, allowing it to expand to the western coast without a single battle fought. But in the north the situation for the Empire wasn't so bright, with the Vsikitian tribes being extremely hostile and forming a nation of their own for the sole purpose of defendimg their sovereignty from the Empire. This rivalry between Grajnis with Kharitans and Vsikitians remains till this very day, with the Vsikitians still having a fairly strong regional identity and being somewhat competitive to the rest of the modern day country. (still wip, more to come)
== Goverment==
[[File:Ukwar II..jpg|thumb|The current King of Grajnidar, Ukwar II.|alt=Ukwar II.]]
Grajnidar is a fairly authoritarian parliamentary constitutional monarchy. On paper the nation is lead by the Premier Jondar Nakastee from the Grajnidaren Democratic Party (GDP), who serves as the only head of goverment. With the king Ukwar II. from the Muulikartheda dynasty being nothing more than the head of state. But in reality the King has much more power over the goverment. He can decide what laws and changes will pass, and which not. He has control over the whole Grajnidaren diplomacy and often gives 'little tips' to the goverment, which, althought do not officially have to be, are always fully implemented. The Grajnidaren constitution has seen quite a few changes in the past years, slowly giving the King more and more power. And while these changes and the goal of them is quite obvious, no one was ever successful in the efforts of stopping it from happening.

The National Parliament is responsible for drafting new laws and handling the state budget, but alone doesn't really have any power, as before a law passes it needs to be checked by the Senate and then the King who has the ability to dismiss anything he doesn't particularly like, which he uses quite often.
To the northeast of Meseda-jo lay [[Hyuntoji]] (Hyuntoji translates as "Dark Land" or "Mysterious Land" and was the Metzettan name for the territory). Hyuntoji was smaller and less sophisticated than Meseda and was subjugated around 300 BC as Meseda-jo expanded. The territory to the south of Meseda was known as [[Daekang]] (Great Water/River in Metzi) and was prosperous thanks to its ample coastline and greater proportion of arable land than the mountainous Meseda-jo. Daekang controlled several islands off the coast and resisted takeover attempts from the north for generations until falling in 85 BC. Following this acquisition Meseda-jo became known as Metzetta. Over the coming years the new empire would take to the seas and conquer many islands off the coast and laid claim to as many uninhabited islands as it could find.

==Geography==
[[File:MetzettaTerritoryRaw.png|alt=Territory of Metzetta|thumb|The territory of modern-day Metzetta is shown here in red.]]
In the centre of Metzetta stands Mount Riwa, a holy site symbolic of the entire nation. It is part of a mountain range that divides east from west, running about two thirds of the way down the country. Metzetta is surrounded on all sides but north by the sea, with the Ocean of Cathay to the east. Metzetta's many island territories to the south are popular holiday destinations.
===Climate===
Metzetta tends to have a humid continental climate and a humid subtropical climate, and experiences a monsoon season in the summer, which begins end of June through the end of July. Winters can be extremely cold with the minimum temperature dropping below −20 °C in the inland region of the country. Winter temperatures are higher along the southern coast and considerably lower in the mountainous interior. Summer can be uncomfortably hot and humid, with temperatures exceeding 30 °C in most parts of the country. Metzetta has four distinct seasons; spring, summer, autumn and winter. Spring usually lasts from late March to early May, summer from mid-May to early September, autumn from mid-September to early November, and winter from mid-November to mid-March.

The National Senate is responsible for overseeing the Parliament and maintaining democracy by making sure nothing violates the constitution. The Senate is supposed to be completely independend, but is currently made out of exclusively royal-associated senators. That is the cause of the recent changes and bending of the constitution in favor of the monarchs.
Rainfall is concentrated in the summer months of June through September. The southern coast is subject to late summer typhoons that bring strong winds, heavy rains and sometimes floods. The average annual precipitation is around 1400 millimetres.
===Biodiversity===
Metzetta is home to many diverse species of flora and fauna, some of which are endemic to the country (found nowhere else in the world), particularly in the south-eastern island territories.

Currently coins are minted in values of ₩1, ₩5, ₩10, ₩50, ₩100 and ₩500, though ₩1 and ₩5 coins are becoming increasingly rare as inflation renders them obsolete. Banknotes are currently minted in denominations of ₩1000, ₩5000, ₩10,000, ₩50,000 and ₩100,000. Metzetta uses the somewhat unusual rail gauge of 1600mm (5ft 3in), meaning its trains are incompatible with tracks of most other nations of the world, necessitating a change of trains when leaving the country's rail network. This rail gauge is also used by [[Kiravia]]. The slightly wider tracks allow for larger cylinders, useful for pulling trains up the hilly terrain of the countryside.

Historically Metzetta was a coal-powered nation but this system has been supplanted by nuclear energy, and to a lesser extent, other renewable sources such as wind, geothermal, solar, tidal and hydroelectric power. Nearly 75% of Metzetta's energy is produced in Nuclear power plants, with plans to retire the few remaining coal plants well underway. It is not uncommon for private citizens to generate some of their own electricity through the use of a small wind turbine or bank of solar panels. Energy is not a private industry in Metzetta and all power plants are controlled by Energy For Metzetta, a government agency.

==Culture==

The Grajdinaren culture is made up from 2 relatively different cultures - the Grajni-Kharitan and the Vsikite. The Grajni-Kharitan is the culture of the Grajnis and Kharitanians and is the thing people usually mean by 'Grajdinaren culture'. The Vsikite meanwhile often being forgotten and looked over, as it the culture of Vsikites, a minority group in the country living exclusively in the northern parts. These 2 cultures are of course not that different, as Vsikites are part of the same ethno-linguistic group as the rest of the populace, but the centuries of foreign influence and distancing from the rest of the country have surely had some effects.
templates, see also, whatever. make template for Alshar, template for Metzetta-based articles, add Metzetta to worldwide standard articles
=== Grajni-Kharitan===
[[Category:Metzetta]]
The Grajni-Kharitan culture is a very rich culture with almost no foreign influence at all. Till this very day most of the traditions are still alive, mostly in the nation's country-side.
=== Vsikite===
The Vsikite culture, while being Ganatic, was heavily influenced by romance cultures, most notably the French from the neighboring Aciria.
=== Religion===
Grajnidar is a very religious nation. The official and pretty much dominant (88% of the populace) religion is Varheism, which worships the two god siblings - Varskstullu and Varmaakon, sometimes called simply the day and the night. The whole religion comes from the holy texts called 'Rataksi Varheistv' written by prophet Kaarlin, who returned from the Danoc, another world hidden between day and night where every soul goes after death.
==Geography==
I can't write this without my map spot ◔̯◔
==Military==
The military in Grajnidar is split into 2 parts working independently from eachother. The Grajnidaren National Armed Forces and the Grajnidaren Royal Guards. While the Grajnidaren National Armed Forces (GNAF for short) are made of Land, Naval and Air Forces which serve the nation and are the thing people usually mean by 'Grajnidaren military', the Grajnidaren Royal Guards (GRG for short) are made of various elite forces which serve and protect the royal family, the most well-known elite force being the royal guards, from which the whole group is named after. It is said that these 2 groups can, if it is for some reason needed, attack eachother, but it will most likely never happen.
=== Grajnidaren National Armed Forces ===
The Grajnidaren National Armed Forces are made of Grajnidaren Land Forces, Grajnidaren Naval Forces and Grajnidaren Air Forces. It is currently lead by the Chief of the General Staff Miko Akwara. Historically the GNAF has always been a fairly advanced and powerful, although not used too often. In modern day it is mosly specialised at AI, with the Grajnidaren attack drones being one of the best in the world.

Coins and banknotes in other denominations have been produced in the past and unusual denominations are sometimes minted for commemorative purposes. Common subjects depicted on coins and banknotes include Emperors, flowers, birds and architecture.

Rail

Metzetta uses the somewhat unusual rail gauge of 1600mm (5ft 3in), meaning its trains are incompatible with tracks of most other nations of the world, necessitating a change of trains when leaving the country's rail network. This rail gauge is also used by Kiravia. The slightly wider tracks allow for larger cylinders, useful for pulling trains up the hilly terrain of the countryside.

Energy
