The Common Market Executive (Kiravic: Vekturora Lódrifèlesk) is the Collegiate executive under which most federal agencies responsible for regulation of the domestic real economy are organised. It derives its mandate from Article Q of the Fundamental Statute, which grants the federal government regulatory authority over interprovincial commerce. The CME is charged with maintaining a fluid, dynamic, and cohesive internal market, and providing a clear and fair regulatory landscape. In contrast with the Commercial-Industrial Executive, which provides government support to advance Kiravian business in the national interest, the Common Market Executive’s role is to regulate business in the public interest and for the common good. The CME oversees agencies responsible for consumer protection and enforces federal competition law.
The Common Market Executive also fills the rôle of a national transport ministry, encompassing most agencies responsible for non-maritime transport policy and transportation infrastructure. In the Federation and Sarolasta, the Common Market Executive is also responsible for regulating inter-province surface transportation, inland navigation, and federal contributions to transportation infrastructure. In the Overseas Regions, these functions are assigned to the Overseas Development Executive, and in South Kirav they fall to the Regional Development Executive.
