The Kiravian Free Alliance (Kiravic: Kiravix Helvix Mitannum) is a legislative caucus in the Federal Stanora. Formed by a merger of the Liberty Group and Direct Democratic Front and augmented by Delegates from the already defunct Agrarian Caucus, the Kiravian Free Alliance is a big-tent grouping that positions itself as a catch-all populist opposition to the more established Federalist Republican Alliance, Caritist Social Union, and Authentic Historical Caucus.

Platform

The parties and independent Delegates (of which there are many) joined together in the Kiravian Free Alliance represent an eclectic mix of programmes and platforms drawn from several different political traditions. The caucus includes libertarians and libertarian conservatives, agrarians and distributists, progressives and Georgists, creditists and neo-bullionists. What unites the KFA is not a coherent political agenda, but rather a shared anti-establishment, anti-administration orientation and a populist attitude.

  • A three-term (nine-year) absolute term limit for Delegates, and a one-term (six year) limit for the Prime Executive and Second Executive
  • Electoral reform at the federal and state/territorial levels and reform or abolition of state upper houses
  • Tolerance for filesharing and minimising government interference in personal Internet use
  • Promotion of rural broadband
  • "Monetary pluralism", including support for metal-backed currency, monetary whiskey, private and local currencies, and cryptocurrency
  • Greater transparency in banking, insurance, and finance
  • Stricter state and federal regulation of farm, home, and auto loans, and debt forgiveness for farmers and other small producers
  • Land reform in the Kiravian South
  • Military neutrality and geopolitical nonalignment
  • Scaling back interventionist and expansionist endeavours overseas
  • Support for agricultural subsidies and protective tariffs.
  • Restriction of state surveillence at all levels of government, from red light cameras to the Signals Intelligence Agency.
  • Tax reform

"You vote for the Authentic Historical Caucus candidates because you feel like you have to. You vote for the KFA candidates because you want to."

Electoral Support

Most KFA Delegates are elected from Northwestern Great Kirav, the Western Highlands, and the Eastern Highlands.

Also some Hoppers' parties.

The Shaftonist-democratic pundit Kíriluv Istrásin has characterised the KFA's base as "an unlikely alliance between extremely online young urbanites and aging farmers in the interior who need to drive to the county library to use dialup."

Communicants of the Filesharing Church of St. Torrent are known to be loyal KFA voters.
