The North Levantine Front, also referred to as the Fifth Fhainn-Fiann Kin Wars and contemporarily as the Great War of Gaelic Liberation, was a theater of the Great War centered on Northern Levantia from mid-1935 to 1942. Following the escalation of the Holy Levantine Empire's civil war in Deria, Faneria declared war on Fiannria and invaded the latter's coastal regions along the Vandarch, followed by a brief rapid advance into central Fiannria. Faneria intended to force Fiannria to assent to both governments' annexation into a united Gaelic state under the Fhainnin republican model, but failed to reach the metropolitan core around Brídhavn. Fiannria's government refused to negotiate, with both countries fighting to a stalemate in the lower regions in central-western Fiannria and mountain campaigns in the north and southern borderlands. Fighting was slowed in the north and center during winter due to frosts and in late spring due to runoff creating marshy conditions. Faneria additionally seized territories from Prevalia and Caergwynn during the war. After the eventual loss of most of its gained territories in northern Fiannria, the destruction of the vast majority of its Nordskan and Kilikas fleets, a loss of faith in the war in Faneria, a new front being opened by the invasion of Lyukquar by Caergwynn, and repeated landings and repulsions along Faneria's coastlines by other Fiannrian-aligned nations, Faneria conditionally surrendered in the Second Treaty of Gaoth on March 1st, 1942.
