Culriocha is a province of Faneria, situated across the Prevaline Isthmus from Gleathan and separated from Gleathan by the Vandarch Canal to its east. To the west, it is bordered by the autonomous region of Ryeva, as well as ____ to the south, the Vandarch to the southeast, and the (Sea of Nahe?) to the north.
Geography
- large lake, a couple major rivers
- mention canals as attempted alternative to the Vandarch canal, later discontinue or not common for passage? check if lore still works/stands
Economy
textiles, freshwater fishing, limited sea fishing, canning, farming, grazing land, limited mining near southern borders, hydroelectric power; industrialization brings (automobiles? definitely investment in shipping facilities, railroads into Gothica
Politics
previous friction with locals under Fhainnin rule, possibly showing disparities in quality of service from gov't (maybe not necessarily quality of life to a large degree). Politically not a priority for monarchy, and forced to stay in Faneria as an unhappy province of Faneria, with post-GW reforms helping alleviate things a bit along with gaining political representation. Possibly stronghold of liberal opposition party.
Demographics
- Sheafhainn and Fhainn majority or plurality in furthest east near Vandarch coast and isthmus, rest should have unique gaelic subculture
