Taisgol International Airport
Taisgol-Ozark Peninsula International Airport (IATA: TOP, ICAO: QTOP, TAA: TOP), commonly referred to as “Taisgol Airport” or “Taisgol International,” is the main international airport serving Taisgol, Tierrador. It is the largest of the four international airports in the Taisgol airport system (the others being Taisgol-Southland, Taisgol City, Platino, and Taisgol-Dobbs). The airport is owned and operated by the City of Taisgol and operated by the Taisgol River Ports Authority. In 2022, it was the second-busiest airport in the world by international passenger traffic and the second busiest airport in Crona.

Taisgol Airport is the primary hub for Tierrador Airlines and Orixtal Airlines, the two flagship airlines of Tierrador, along with low-cost carriers Southern Airways and Western Airlines. Over 80 airlines fly to Taisgol Airport from 205 international destinations, along with 174 destinations across Tierrador. The airport was founded in 1981 after the traffic in Taisgol-Southland Airport became inconvenient for travelers. Following this, the Taisgol River Ports Authority submitted a request to build a new airport on the Ozark Peninsula village in rural Verona Parish, Taisgol, about 26 miles from Downtown Taisgol. The request was approved by the Taisgol Regional Qangreč, and to the protests of many in Ozark Peninsula, the airport broke ground in May 1979. Many residents of the Ozark Peninsula village were forced out of their homes to make way for the new airport, and in early 1981, the airport was completed. The opening of the airport was delayed until October due to the many protests from Ozark Peninsula residents along with residents from neighboring communities.
The airport serves 106 million passengers yearly to 380 destinations across Tierrador and the world. The airport has international services within Crona, Sarpedon, Alshar, Audonia, Levantia, Great Kirav, and Australis
Location
Taisgol International Airport is located in the small town of Ozark Peninsula, in rural Verona Parish in the Taisgol Region, adjacent to Highway 40 and 240, nearly 30 miles from Downtown Taisgol. Before 1981, Ozark Peninsula was a small village of about 561 residents, but following the airport's opening, the population grew to 3,564 as of 2030, mainly due to the influx of airport employees who did not wish to commute from Downtown Taisgol or different areas across Taisgol Region. The airport is accessible via numerous transportation methods, including National and Regional Highways. The Taisgol Metro Transit (TMT)'s Q-Line offers daily services, starting in the northwest corner of Verona Parish, passing through Ozark Peninsula and the airport's vicinity, before ending on the southeastern outskirts of Taisgol City.
Many residents of Ozark Peninsula, along with residents from surrounding towns (Longworth, Sudmoll, Tauçan Villas, Qorbias), have long complained about the loud sounds emitted from the jets who were landing at the airport, flying over the areas. Due to this, a rule was implemented by the Verona Parish Council banning flights from landing or taking off from Taisgol-Ozark Peninsula from 11p.m. to 7a.m. Instead, most flights were redirected to Taisgol-Southland International Airport. However, due to the immense traffic imposed on the Taisgol-Southland air traffic controllers, the ruling was eventually reversed in 2011, much to the dismay of many residents in the area.
Operations
Terminals
Taisgol International has four major terminals (A, B, C, and D), which form the shape of an "X". Terminals A and B were built in 1981 and served as the original Taisgol Airport, until 1997, when Terminal C was added to accommodate the growing destinations count. Terminal D is the newest terminal, being completed in 2016, and is primarily used for international destinations. The airport has a total of 141 gates. All of the terminals are easily accessible by moving walkways, an elevated people mover, and are served by four stops on the Taisgol Metro Transit's Q-Line.
Terminals A and B
Terminals A and B were the original terminals built in 1981 for the airport. Originally, Terminal A (which has 38 gates) was designated for domestic flights, and Terminal B (which has 33 gates) was designated for international flights. This led to many cultural-themed restaurants and shops being opened in Terminal B, which are still there today despite Terminal B only being used for domestic flights. There are over 120 shops and restaurants in both terminals, and Terminal A contains a golfing simulator, a 10-hole mini golf course, and an ice skating rink. In 2009, Terminal B was modified to accommodate an Airbus A380, which resulted in gates B32 and B33 being decommissioned, therefore the Terminal's gate count was reduced to 31. From 2011 to 2013, Terminal A went under massive renovations, leaving only 18 of its gates safe to use. After the completion of Terminal C in 1997, Terminal B's purpose was eventually changed to serving domestic flights only, though some international flights were allowed to be served at B. Following the construction of Terminal D in 2016, Terminal B was no longer used for International flights.
Terminal C
Terminal C was built from 1995 to 1997, much to the protest of many Verona Parish residents, who were once again forced out of their homes to make way for the new terminal. In order to avoid the Federal Government stepping in and striking down the construction, Verona Parish was forced to pay 600 Ozark Peninsula residents $110,000 each, which they believed was enough to purchase or construct a new house. The terminal has 37 gates, and it was used for both international and domestic flights. Terminal C has over 70 shops and restaurants, and a lounge area for Tierrador Airlines customers, which features many luxury components, such as a complimentary buffet containing foods from around the world, a spa and sauna, and a swimming pool.
Terminal D
Terminal D is the newest terminal in Taisgol International, completing construction in 2016. It has 35 gates, and is primarily used for international flights. It has 60 shops and restaurants, a movie theater, an exotic art gallery, and it is connected via the Taisgol Metro to a Río Platino-branded hotel and resort. Plans have been made to construct an 18-hole golf course just outside of the resort, however it has not entered the groundbreaking stage yet.
